On December 18, the Construction Engineering & Management Program were lucky to be visited by Mr. Chris Tanner from Australia. Mr. Tanner is a founding Director of Bligh Tanner with 30 years’ experience in land development and general civil engineering throughout Australia and Asia. His expertise in civil engineering, combined with a professional background in town planning gives him a solid understanding of the complex issues associated with the planning and development of land. Chris’ focus on integrating civil engineering solutions with the natural environment, has established him as a leader in sustainable development and water-sensitive design. He regularly presents in a range of forums and has published a number of papers including the Healthy Waterways Stormwater Harvesting Guidelines and the QWC Stormwater Infrastructure Options to Achieve Multiple Water Cycle Outcomes. Chris has recently been selected to be on a Water Expert Panel that will help to deliver WaterQ: a 30-year State Government strategy for Queensland’s water sector.
